Canadian death metal band Ignominy unleash dissonant death metal that’s aggressive, punchy and hook-laden, which is rare to find in a style that tends to be more abstract and unpredictable. There is a deliberate structure and coherency in their music which doesn’t restrict their music but in fact aids it and makes it more powerful and memorable. The otherworldly atmosphere that it exudes, emphasised by the two interludes in the middle, is made all the more menacing because of their forceful approach.
