Their songs undergo various phases, from vigorous pounding parts to atmospheric passages, almost always culminating in an epic, memorable fashion. With a sound that is more cohesive while also being pliant, they are no doubt able to achieve greater expression. One would be hard-pressed to find bands in the style playing music that is as diverse and multifaceted and yet scathing and intense as theirs. "Fetid Existence" is another resounding success which sees Resin Tomb carrying forward their sublime sound and expanding upon it. The two members, who are also in the death metal band Fractal Generator, play all the instruments on this record and use synthesizers and vocoders to make music that sounds as if it's emanating from beings on some distant planet. The songs are called transmissions here and each one has a different identity and purpose, making this an utterly fascinating and unique listening experience. The music is tenuously black metal, with its elements taken apart and pieced together using futuristic components, coalesced using death metal and industrial influences, and of course a wide range of all the weird, extraterrestrial sounds to make this record as convincing and out there as possible. Few bands have explored the sci-fi side of black metal but probably none sound as accomplished or go all the way as Endspace have on their very debut itself. The tone of this album signals that tragedy reeks more than triumph is longed, where every pursuit becomes a maze leading toward another dissolution. Ruin stands as a foundation that no longer supports awakening—it merely reflects the forms that once gave it meaning. All that Glimmers is Gloam pits the listener as judge and jury, bearing witness to a deposition of spiraling madness—a testimony mired in the bog of counterfeit gnosis, orchestrated amid Mephisto's instrumental haunts of melodic dissonance and Chrisom's séanced howls, each reverberating through a theatre of fracturing sanity. The labyrinth reveals itself as a scaffold of golem-like perception; knowledge fractures into paradox, and identity disperses into indistinguishable voices. Here, what glimmers is not illumination, but twilight; not revelation, but its reflection. Standing before the final threshold, the mirror of the self shatters, revealing the shape of many within the silhouette of none." Line up - Mephisto Deleterio - Music and production, Vocals Chrisom Infernium - Vocals, lyrics, and album design Cover artwork by Luciana Nedelea
