Carnage Inc. announce new release on Transcending Obscurity Distribution

Mumbai-based thrash metal band Carnage Inc. are on the verge of releasing their debut album and have worked out a deal with prominent entity Transcending Obscurity Distribution for the same. The release date is August 1st, but pre-orders are open for CD + T-shirt combo, digital, and CD only.

Transcending Obscurity owner Kunal Choksi comments, “It’s a real pleasure to work with yet another thrash band from the region after Armament and Exalter. Carnage Inc. show great promise with their brand of energetic thrash music and will go down as one of the most promising bands to emerge from Mumbai in recent times. Watch out for their emphatic new EP and a slew of shows around the country promoting this one.”

Carnage Inc. respond, “We’ve been working on this material since last year. Each song was created with one riff followed by some intense jams and bouncing off ideas. If you love bands like Kreator, Exodus, Slayer, Metallica, you will really find our music reminding you a little of them, yet sounding quite different. You can say our sound is 50% Bay Area thrash, 25% Mumbai attitude, 20% rage and 5% alcohol”.

After Exalter and Armament, Carnage Inc. are the newest thrash metal band on the block and their flair is different. Using local flavour to spice up the sound, this band’s music is vibrant, energetic and adrenaline-charged. ‘Fury Incarnate’ is the band’s first foray into the international space and they’ve got the chops for it, evidently. Each song has its specialty, incorporating influences from punk, crossover and local themes to create an album unlike other, one that’s refreshing and not relying too much on the tried-and-tested template. Though undeniably old school, Carnage Inc.breathe new life into the style and show others how it is to be done. Watch out for this band that’s bound to leap out and devour the posers.
