Transcending Obscurity is one of the most respected entities in underground metal music. Originally started as a webzine called Diabolical Conquest way back in 2005, it has since expanded into a full-fledged record label with its own head office, warehouse and even an in-house merch printing setup. The label also has exclusive stores in North America and Europe, in addition to having distribution around the world.

The label is also responsible for the housing and welfare of over 30+ stray cats and dogs in its premises. It’s an integral part of the whole operation with most of the proceeds going towards this purpose.

Yes, we are accepting band submissions and make sure to listen to every single submission and sincerely appreciate your desire to work with us. The best way would be to email us with links to your music here – info@tometal.com. 
 
While it would seem right to get a reply to every submission that’s sent our way, the fact is that due to the sheer number of submissions we get, we’re simply not able to. You may send us a reminder if you wish and wait for up to 2-3 weeks for us to listen to your music properly. We will be sure to get back to you if it’s feasible for us to work with your band. 
We are based in Mumbai, India and that’s where we ship out all our stuff from if you order from our main store (this site!) and Bandcamp store (http://transcendingobscurity.bandcamp.com). 

And no, just because you see the prices in EUR/USD, doesn’t mean that they’re either of those stores. Please take note of our Europe and US store links –

If the product is in stock, we ship them out in the same week. Where merch orders go, each of them are custom-made, in-house and sometimes it takes longer depending on the backlog. Please be assured, everything you’ve ordered will be sent your way as soon as possible. 
As everything is made/assembled/originally sent out from India, orders placed via our main store (this site!) and Bandcamp store go out the fastest but we’re doing our best to hook our Europe and US stores with the products as fast as we’re able to as well. 

Please keep an eye out on the official release dates around which we usually ship out orders.

Yes, every single order that we send out anywhere in the world is at least registered and comes with tracking information without fail. There’s little to no chance of it getting lost in transit and even in the rarest case if something doesn’t get delivered for whatever reason, we’ll be more than happy to send out a replacement parcel at our own expense.

We make sure to include the tracking number when marking orders as shipped, so that all our customers can get notified and use that information. Orders sent via express courier services  such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc. can be tracked from their respective official websites and others sent via registered airmail can be tracked from these sites –

DHL orders can be tracked from the DHL site – https://www.dhl.co.in and all other registered airmail orders can be tracked from this site – https://www.indiapost.gov.in

Express courier services deliver within a week’s time anywhere in the world, sometimes even faster than that. Our regular, default mode of shipping is registered/international airmail and that takes up to 7-10 days to Europe, North America and even Australia. 

We make sure to reply within 24-48 hours upon receiving the email but sometimes it takes a little longer if we have to look into the details, check the inventory, or track what’s the current status. Nonetheless, we make sure to get back without fail. Please be patient if you don’t hear back from us immediately.
