While jazz influences and usage of a saxophone in extreme music has been witnessed before, it’s hardly ever done with a style of music this extreme and cathartic. The dedicated sax player infuses the violent music with jazzy parts that not only serve as a break from the cacophony but they also punctuate the music, enhance it, and elevate it from your regular grind or death metal band. The music is highly intricate, even technical, and despite the short length of the songs, it might require multiple listens for it to be fully deciphered and for the unsuspecting listeners to get its odd appeal.
