Australian death metal titans Depravity emerge after a gap of five long years. Maintaining the same line-up, they are able to retain their sound while fleshing out their compositions, proving that they can not only rampage with abandon at will but also showcase their musicianship in a more controlled environment. At this point in their career, Depravity’s music has become fairly amalgamated – rooted in the old school sound but not necessarily sounding old school, with the gradual incorporation of more brutal and technical death metal influences having a slightly contemporary edge.
