Warlord UK to release ’90s album via Transcending Obscurity Classics

After Deceased and Abyssus, Warlord UK‘s classic album titled ‘Maximum Carnage’ will be issued through sub-label Transcending Obscurity Classics. Official license has been issued from the band’s founding member Mark White who had the following words to say about the announcement –

“I have a great love for this album. Little did we know when we first recorded this at Paul Johnson’s studio in Alcester, Warwickshire that ‘Maximum Carnage’ would be released during its 20th year anniversary and remembered and cherished in that life span – just shows the strength of the album and the interest it has gained. The titled track ‘Maximum Carnage’ is still played in our set today and stands strong against the new tracks. I am very proud of this album.”

The label owner Kunal Choksi comments, “Warlord UK have been one of UK’s most important death metal bands along with Bolt Thrower and Benediction. They carry the same spirit and power as their peers from the ’90s. But unlike the others, they’ve been supremely underrated, especially their landmark album ‘Maximum Carnage’ originally released in 1996. To honour the album’s 20th anniversary, Transcending Obscurity Classics will now reissue that album in its original crushing quality with a new layout, bonus tracks, as well as a hand-numbered certificate of authenticity.”
