We’re well aware that we’re from an unconventional country for producing metal music like India and know the struggles of putting out music worldwide all too well. We have no qualms in signing up bands from such countries despite the logistical issues and probability of the band being away from the major fests and tours happening. Ultimately, it’s all about the music and we’re glad to have a chance to work with such a band from Paraguay no less.
Label owner Kunal Choksi says, “It’s a pleasure to work with hardworking bands from the world over and in this case it’s Verthebral from Paraguay. Their music is hard-hitting and ferocious without losing focus and it’s a sheer delight to listen to their music. It reminds me of the classic bands from South America, mostly Brazilian, such as the early works of Sepultura and the wave of death metal bands that followed later on comprising of Krisiun, Abhorrence, Rebaelliun, Nephasth, etc. We like to mix things up on our label and this one came at the right time for us. Watch out for their release at the very end of this year.”
Verthebral add, “It’s great honor for us to have signed with Transcending Obscurity Records, a very important label worldwide. Kunal is working professionally for many years and his label is growing every day. We are sure that this means a big step in our career, a fantastic opportunity for us because the label will raise us to a higher level. This is the great moment for Verthebral. Our second album is on its way and we fully trust that we will share a killer album with you guys”.
