Hailing from Kolkata, Armament have been ripping cities apart. The band put on an unforgettable performance most notably at the ‘Thrashfest’ in Mumbai last year, organized by the group of Transcending Obscurity and others, and are finally poised to release their debut EP titled ‘First Strike’ on August 22nd, 2015. The band will play their album launch gig in Kolkata at the ‘Strength of Steel’ show, alongside bands like Albatross, Primitiv, Hellwind, Blackhole and Falcun.
Playing raw, gritty Teutonic-flavoured thrash metal that brings to mind memories of early Kreator, Sodom and Destruction, along with the gods, Slayer, with a tinge of the South American bands, Armament happen to be one of the most exciting acts to play in this style from the country. The band’s enthusiasm and determination is palpable in the music and it’s bound to appeal to the fans of old school as well as modern music alike. Good thrash metal is a staple of every metalhead here and veritably so.
