AFFLICTION GATE from France sign to Transcending Obscurity Records

It’s not often that bands get signed to the international and original leg of the Transcending Obscurity (previously known as Diabolical Conquest) label. It’s time perhaps to spread the wings and take in more bands that are deserving and promising. While the focus remains on original, bold and groundbreaking music from all styles, it also remains important to work with bands that are setting the standard for quality music around the world. Affliction Gate are one among them.

Having reviewed all of their music right since their debut, on Diabolical Conquest webzine (circa 2008), the label owner thought it only fitting to sign on the band to his label and propagate the vicious, festering music on his own. Affliction Gate‘s fourth music output will be called ‘Dying Alone’ and is scheduled for a late 2015 release on Transcending Obscurity.

The label owner, Kunal Choksi, comments, “I’ve been following Affliction Gate for a long time and it’s their raging intensity that drew me towards their old school death metal music each time. This fiery passion and determination was not to be found in any of their peers. Moreover, their music evolved, the bar kept getting raised higher in all ways and they’re a class act while remaining very friendly and professional. It’s my pleasure to work with Affliction Gate for their upcoming release and more importantly, do justice to the band that deserves so much more.“

Affliction Gate guitarist Grief states, “We are glad to announce that our next release called ‘Dying Alone’ will be out through the rising underground label TRANSCENDING OBSCURITY. Kunal is involved in the scene for a decade thanks to his webzine and he is supporting AFFLICTION GATE since our very first EP so we know how dedicated he is. No doubt he will help us to promote the band even further.“
