Canadian sludge band Algoma sign to Transcending Obscurity Records

After The Whorehouse Massacre, we are thrilled to be working with yet another sludge/doom band from Canada – Algoma. The members have been an absolutely delight to work with and we can’t wait to put out their upcoming full length album on CD and digital.

Transcending Obscurity owner Kunal Choksi states, “I’ve been following their music since their full length debut and see great potential. I prefer my music to be crushing and they’re one of the heaviest bands out there with a great sound to boot. I’m sure the new album will sound wicked and I’m happy that their signing to the label will complement others on the roster like The Dead and The Whorehouse Massacre, not to mention Officium Triste.”
